Here you can adjust the various functions within the Ultra Setter to see how it reacts. Use the Presetting Dial to increase or decrease the pre-set maximum flow rate. Use the Stem Position arrows to move the stem up or down, mimicking the movement provided by the actuator. Use the Differential Pressure arrows to increase or decrease the differential pressure across the valve to see how doing so affects the flow rate through the valve.
All Bell & Gossett Ultra Setter PICVs have an easy-to-read GPM dial to set the maximum flow rate through the valve without the need for additional charts or calculations. Turning the dial opens and closes the orifice inside the valve, limiting the flow. The Ultra Setter is the only PICV that offers a GPM dial, giving it unrivaled simplicity and ease of use.
The control valve portion of the Ultra Setter maintains full stroke control irrespective of the pre-set maximum flow rate. Because the control stroke is never shortened the Ultra Setter has superior control over the entire flow range, in particular at part load or low flows.
The integral diaphragm style differential pressure regulator opens and closes the orifice as a result of fluctuations in system pressure. This eliminates overflows and underflows and maintains the system flow rate at a constant level while eliminating valve hunting.
